Cabrillo High School Long Beach, CA
When the Long Beach School District decided to expand its buildings and seismically upgrade them, they discovered a layer of liquefiable soils underneath one of the new structures. The geotechnical engineer selected compaction grouting for the ground improvement of this sensitive site.
The Pressure Grout Company achieved this work in a record time that resulted in the densification of the liquefiable soils between 8 and 35 feet. More than 1,200 points were installed and more than 90,000 cubic feet of grout were injected.
