Eureka Courthouse, Eureka, NV
For this 1879 historical landmark, seismic upgrade investigations showed that there was a potential for liquefaction. The interior spaces and headroom were very limited and normal operations were required in part of the building during the project. For these reasons, compaction grouting was the only method to mitigate the liquefaction material.
The Pressure Grout Company presented a plan to perform this work. The plan was accepted and the work was completed below budget and well within schedule.
