Rose Bowl Stadium Pasadena
Pasadena’s iconic Rose Bowl Stadium was in need of a little boost.
It’s easy. During the renovation, expansion. and seismic upgrade of the Stadium, a layer of sandy soil was discovered beneath the Stadium’s press boxes’ foundation. Unfortunately, this sand-filled gravel would produce unacceptable levels of future settlement, so soil solidification was in order.
After an exhaustive search to find an experienced contractor to take on this major undertaking, The Pressure Grout Company was chosen to tailor a customized package to the needs of the aging structure. A specialized permeation grouting system was used to solidify the sandy gravel layer into a solid mass, so that the stadium could stand proud for its fans. Furthermore, the solution effectively thwarted any unacceptable future settlement, thereby providing a safe and solid structure for generations of fans to come.
